Armed Forces Day and Freedom of St Ives, 2018

On Saturday 30th June 2018, the mayor of St Ives, Cllr Tim Drye, invited VIPs, military associations, and members of the public to join him for the annual Armed Forces Day celebrations, but in addition, for the granting of the Freedom of the Town to the Royal Engineers based at RAF Wyton.

The Mayor of Huntingdon, Cllr Sarah Gifford, the Deputy Mayoress, Mrs Audrey McAdam, and Cllr Karl Webb represented Huntingdon Town Council.

On completion of the Freedom Parade, guests were invited for refreshments before heading to RAF Wyton to spend time with families and to showcase the work of the Royal Engineers.
