Flooding in Huntingdon

After last night’s flooding I went for a walk round this morning and spoke with a few residents. I think we were lucky in as far as I only saw one house where the owner said the water had come inside, but one car park was a real sad sight to see.
Flooding at the Great River Ouse
This year has been bad enough as it is, so to see the destruction caused by the flooding is hard to bear and my thoughts go out to all those that have lost property through this. It has been amazing to hear the stories of those going out of their way last night, not only in Huntingdon but also to our surrounding towns, Godmanchester, Brampton, St Ives, and Ramsey to name a few; there really has been a coming together of local communities to help those in need.
I have added photographs from my walk round this morning just to show the extent of the flooding. I have purposely kept close-up pictures of property and cars offline.
