Honey Day at Hinchingbrooke Country Park

Huntingdonshire Beekeeping Association (HBKA) held their annual Honey Day at Hinchingbrooke Country Park today. I was delighted to be invited, with Hils, to a preview of the work that the Association have been doing over the past 18 months.

HBKA have been helping local beekeepers since 1884 and now has over 100 members in the local and surrounding areas, most of whom keep their own bees.

I have not been a fan of honey over the years, but sampling the local honey today has been great, I really did enjoy it. It was also good to chat with the stallholders and to find out about some of the various species that can be found in the UK, and ones to watch out for.

Thank you, Moira, the committee members, and volunteers at HBKA for the invite, an informative and fun day.
