Pensioners’ Party and Hunters Down

A couple of mayoral engagements today. This morning I was invited to join local pensioners at the Coneygear Centre for a Christmas dinner. To keep everyone safe, numbers (including staff and supporters) were kept to a minimum. It was so good to chat with everyone, well done to our team at Huntingdon Town Council for bringing today’s event together, and thanks to Housdens caterers for an excellent meal, and to Paddy Swallow for keeping an eye on everyone as our first aider.

Then this evening I was invited to Hunters Down Care Home to open Santa’s workshop and help with the Christmas lights’ switch on. Another socially distanced event with limited numbers, but so good to see the residents, families and staff enjoying a few Christmas carols and seeing the decorations. Again, well done to all the staff and supporters for everything you have done.

Official photographs will be published on Hunters Down’s Facebook page and shared here in due course, for now a sneak preview of tonight’s entertainment (and with permission of those seen).
