Planning Applications Panel and Cromwell Museum Summer Reception

On the hottest day ever recorded in the UK, I attended the Planning Applications Panel at the Town Hall. Afterwards I was attended a presentation and fundraising evening reception hosted by the Cromwell Museum Trustees and the Mayor of Huntingdon. The reception was held in the Council Chamber where we had a presentation on the planned improvements to update the museum, all attendees were given a chance to visit the museum before it closes for the refurbishment later this year.

An opportunity to adopt an item from the museum, and a raffle was held to raise funds – I was lucky enough to come away with a prize, as did our former mayor, Cllr Sarah Gifford. Thanks go to the Mayor and Mayoress, Cllr Steve McAdam and Audrey McAdam, our museum curator, Stuart Orme, and all those who organised and supported the fundraising evening, the museum is going to be even better than before and I’m sure will be even more popular than ever.
